About Margaret

Margaret was born and raised in Texas; grew up loving life in the country, riding horses and writing.

Her love of writing was inspired by her maternal grandmother who wrote short stories and poetry and read them to her when she was a child.  From her love of reading when she was young to her passion for writing poetry and short stories in junior high she had a desire to share her stories with the world.   She wrote her first novel when she was twenty, her second when she was twenty-three, her third at twenty-eight.  At thirty one, with the encouragement of a dear friend, she went to a screenwriting seminar.  In three days she turned her second 250 page novel into a 120 page screenplay.  The next year she wrote her second screenplay (from her third novel).  After years of rejection from publishers, these works, and dozens of other ideas were set aside to collect dust until the time was right.  God closed that door.

After owning her own business for 17 years God opened that door once again.  She was able to sell her building and assets to pay off all her business debts.  She dusted off the manuscripts and began again.  With the help of one of her closest friends, who has self-published successfully more than thirty books in the past 7 years, she is working to realize her dream of publishing her works.

Margaret has been married to the love of her life, for 42 years and has two sons.  Her children have long grown up and now have families of their own, providing them with the joy of six grandchildren to love and spoil.

In her stories you'll meet friends, family and even strangers she meets on the street.  She weaves much of her own history into the lives of the people you encounter throughout her novels, including her Chickasaw, Irish and German heritage.   The characters are eclectic and exciting and she can't wait for you to meet them.

She looks forward to sharing her love of story-telling with the world.  Please stay tuned for the next chapter in her faith journey.
